Beyond: Baptism

• Baptism is an identification of being a Christian and is a constant reminder that you are His

  • It's identification with the greatest act in human history: the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus

  • Passage from your old life into the new

• You should cherish your baptism

• Baptism means you are committed and "all in" with Christ

• It's not something we have to do, it's something we get to do

• When you are baptized, you are publicly joining the ranks of believers and sharing the gospel

• Jesus commands us to follow his example - Jesus was baptized

Baptism:

• Requires water

• Requires plenty of water

• Requires coming up out of the water
